The international forum »AJDOVŠČINA INNOVATION SUMMIT – Future of Industry & AI Forum« was successfully held in Ajdovščina, bringing together entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, corporate leaders, and startup founders from Slovenia and abroad at the Hall of the First Slovenian Government. The event, organized by the Municipality of Ajdovščina and the company Transformation Lighthouse, was dedicated to discussing the future of industry, innovation, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the economy.

Participants were welcomed in the opening remarks by the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Ajdovščina and our Executive Director, Matjaž Bajec, who expressed pride in the municipality’s dynamic development and its openness to advanced technological solutions. He emphasized that over the past decade, Ajdovščina has experienced a remarkable developmental breakthrough, as numerous small-scale craft businesses have grown into successful companies.

Our director, Boštjan Jerončič, was also among the keynote speakers; he participated in a roundtable discussion titled »The Next Big Breakthrough: How Game-Changing Companies Are Created«. Joined by Dejan Paravan from NGEN and Urška Jež from Transformation Lighthouse, he shared his experiences with participants on company development, the importance of innovation, decision-making in times of uncertainty, and building long-term business success stories.

During the discussion, he emphasized above all the importance of the company’s connection to the local community. He stressed that the Incom Group builds its success in part with the help of people from the local community, which is why cooperation with the local community is of key importance. He also expressed his conviction that Ajdovščina, with its openness and focus on development, creates a supportive environment for business growth and the adoption of new technologies.

He also touched on the challenge of attracting top talent to the local area. In his view, companies are most successful in attracting talented individuals when they can offer them interesting projects, opportunities for growth, and an environment in which they can help shape the future of the industry.

The forum once again confirmed that Ajdovščina is an important hub of entrepreneurial energy, innovation, and development. By presenting best practices, we contributed to raising the profile of the Incom Group as an organization that is actively shaping the future of the industry.
